Alexander Wissner-Gross (2003-2008 Hertz Fellow) has been named a 2008 Environmental Fellow at the Harvard Center for the Environment. The Center created the Environmental Fellows program to enable recent doctorate recipients to use and expand Harvard's extraordinary resources to tackle complex environmental problems. Dr. Wissner-Gross is a condensed matter physicist whose broad research interests concern the science and technology of programmable media, with a recent focus on the intersection of computation, energy, and the environment.
