Elizaveta Freinkman is a research scientist and manager at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research. Previously, she was a postdoctoral associate in Professor David M. Sabatini’s laboratory at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research, where she applied her interest in chemical biology to the study of cancer-specificalterations in cellular metabolism. In 2012, she received her PhD in chemistry at Harvard University as a Hertz Fellow. In her PhD thesis, Assembly and Regulation of the Lipopolysaccharide Transporter, Lisa used photocrosslinking, mass spectrometry, and other biochemical tools to develop a model for the structure and function of a multiprotein machine that plays an essential role in the growth of Gramnegative bacteria.
