Zach
is the Co-Founder and CEO of School Yourself, a publisher of digital math and
science textbooks and online content that leverages a student’s computer or
mobile device to provide an interactive and personalized educational experience.
In 2015, School Yourself was acquired by Amplify Education, a digital K-12
education company, where he now works as a product manager for math curriculum
and supplementals.
He
completed his PhD in Physics at Harvard, where he studied the biophysics of
neuronal symmetry breaking and won multiple awards for his teaching, including
Harvard’s White Award for Excellence in Teaching. He attended MIT, where he
majored in Physics and Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics.
Zach
and his older brother, Alex, are the fourth pair of siblings to be named
Hertz Fellows in the history of the Hertz Foundation.
