Tom McCann, PhD

Thomas E. McCann is the president and founder of McTech LLC and a former director of the Fannie and John Hertz Foundation, where he also participates on the Graduate Fellowship Selection Committee and Thesis Prize Committee.

Previously, Tom was the senior vice president of engineering for Walt Disney Imagineering, technical director at Raytheon Systems Corporation and a senior scientist for the Extended Air Defense Testbed (EADTB) program at Hughes Aircraft Corporation. Dr. McCann was on active duty with the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel in 1986. He holds a BS in mathematics and MS in physics from the University of North Texas and a PhD in engineering and applied science from the University of California, Davis.
