Derek Lidow is a professor in entrepreneurship at Princeton University, and currently serves on the board for United Silicon Carbide. He recently wrote his second book, Building on Bedrock: The Truth About Entrepreneurs. His contributions include a number of value chain applications that have forever improved companies as diverse as Sony, Samsung, Philips, Goldman Sachs and IBM. Derek’s first book, Startup Leadership: How Savvy Entrepreneurs Turn Their Ideas Into Successful Enterprises received multiple accolades and he is a frequent media commentator with coverage appearing in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Forbes, The Economist, Nikkei, Reuters and Taipei Times. Derek holds a BSE in electrical engineering from Princeton University and a PhD in applied physics from Stanford University.
