Joseph “Joe” Morrone is currently a Research Staff Member at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center.

Joe has been at IBM since 2016, and prior to that was a Laufer Center Junior Research Fellow at Stony Brook University and a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University. Joe completed his PhD at Princeton University in the Department of Chemistry and studied of hydrogen-boned systems via molecular dynamics simulation.

He received his undergraduate degree from New York University and was chosen as standard-bearer for the Class of 2003 by the College of Arts and Sciences. He is a recipient of the Barry Goldwater scholarship, the Pfizer Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, the Beckman scholarship, and is co-author of several articles appearing in scientific journals.
