Cooper Rinzler, PhD

Cooper Rinzler is technologist and entrepreneur dedicated to transforming the innovation pipeline for disruptive technologies and products.
He has a history of building and leading teams to develop and commercialize technologies in early stage ventures in the energy, materials, and food/ag sectors. Cooper is currently an investor and company builder at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, working to accelerate the transition to a clean economy. He completed a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT with the Hertz Fellowship and has undergraduate degrees in physics and engineering from Harvard. Cooper serves the Foundation as an Early Career Director.
