Bob Mackey

Bob Mackey is the Manager of Airframe Integration at ZeroAvia, a company building zero-carbon aircraft propulsion systems, based on hydrogen fuel cells.
At ZeroAvia, Mackey leads a group of dedicated engineers that are integrating hydrogen fuel cells into regional transport aircraft.
Mackey retired from the consumer electronics industry in 2018 after developing the touchscreens and fingerprint sensors that are in most smart phones. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the California Institute of Technology and a PhD in materials science from the University of California, San Diego.
