Lydia Finney is the women in science and technology program initiator, the university partnership program manager, and a physicist in the Leadership Institute at Argonne National Laboratory.

While at Argonne, she has developed new ways to use x-ray fluorescence to investigate the biological roles of metals. Lydia has nearly 50 peer-reviewed works, which have been cited in over 800 other publications. She received her BS in chemistry from SUNY Albany, and as a Hertz Fellow, her PhD in inorganic chemistry from Northwestern University.
