Jason Yang

2024 Hertz Fellow

Jason Yang is interested in understanding the biological processes that underlie human health and disease.

Yang is a genetics doctoral student at Stanford University. He received his bachelor’s in biology with a minor in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). At MIT, and subsequently at Massachusetts General Hospital, he worked on the mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration in repeat expansion diseases, uncovering a novel molecular consequence of repeat protein aggregation. He is originally from Plainsboro, New Jersey.
