DJ Strouse, PhD
2013 Hertz Fellow
DJ Strouse is a Senior Research Scientist at DeepMind.
Strouse completed his PhD in physics at Princeton University. However, like many physicists, he now works on artificial intelligence. He has spent summers at Google DeepMind, Spotify, and Zynga. His thesis focused on applying tools from information theory to problems in machine learning.
Some buzz words describing his current work include: the information bottleneck, hierarchical reinforcement learning, and multi-agent reinforcement learning. He is based in New York, but frequently visits his fellow Fellows in Boston.
