Zach completed his PhD in Physics at Harvard, where he studied the biophysics of neuronal symmetry breaking and won multiple awards for his teaching, including Harvard’s White Award for Excellence in Teaching.

He is the Co-Founder and CEO of School Yourself, a publisher of highly interactive digital math and science textbooks creating the highest-quality content, taking full advantage of the features of a student’s computer or mobile device to provide an interactive and personalized educational experience while affordably delivering the content. He attended MIT, where he majored in Physics and Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics.

Zach and his older brother, Alex, are the fourth pair of siblings to be named Hertz Fellows in the history of the Hertz Foundation.
