Wendy R. Cieslak is the director emeritus at Sandia National Laboratories and a former director of The Fannie and John Hertz Foundation. Previously, she was the principal program director for Nuclear Weapons Science & Technology at Sandia and Materials Science & Technology Division leader at Los Alamos National Laboratory. She is a fellow of ASM International and performs regularly as a violinist in the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra. Wendy holds a BS and PhD in materials engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
